Learn how to set and manage expiry dates for quotes.
Expiry dates encourage timely decisions from customers. They maintain the relevance and accuracy of pricing and availability.
When a quote expires, it moves to the expired status. Expired quotes can be reopened and updated with a new expiry date.
Navigate to Settings and select Account Details. Set a standard expiry period for all quotes.
The expiry period is specified as a number of days from the quote creation date (e.g., 7, 14, or 30 days). This default applies to all new quotes.
When creating or editing a quote, locate the Auto-Expire date field on page 1 of the quote form.
Select a new date. The expiry date can be set to any date in the future. Save the quote.
For quotes related to events happening soon, the system adjusts the expiry date to ensure it does not extend beyond the event date.
Expired quotes can be reopened. Open the expired quote and click Restore.
Edit the quote and update the expiry date to a new date. Save the quote. The quote returns to pending status.
Review pending quotes approaching their expiry dates. Follow up with customers to encourage timely decisions.
The orders list displays the expiry date for each pending quote. Filter by status to view pending quotes.
