Hot/Cold Delivery Temperature Feature

Learn how to use the delivery temperature options for menu items in Puree.

Overview

The Hot/Cold delivery temperature feature allows you to specify whether items should be delivered hot or cold. This is particularly useful for items that can be served either way, ensuring clear communication with your kitchen and delivery teams.

Setting Up Delivery Temperature Options

Step 1: Access Menu Items

Navigate to Menu Items from your dashboard and select the item you want to configure.

Step 2: Configure Delivery Temperature Options

In the item settings, you'll find options to specify delivery temperature requirements:

  • Hot only
  • Cold only
  • Either hot or cold (customer choice)

Step 3: Save Your Changes

Save the item configuration. The temperature options will now be available when adding this item to quotes.

Using Hot/Cold Options in Quotes

Adding Items with Temperature Options

When adding an item with temperature options to a quote, you'll be able to select whether it should be delivered hot or cold.

Temperature Display

The selected temperature will be clearly displayed on:

  • Customer quotes
  • Kitchen dockets
  • Driver run sheets
  • Event brief dockets

Best Practices

  • Use this feature for items that are commonly served at different temperatures (e.g., certain canapés, platters)
  • Ensure your kitchen team understands the temperature requirements for each order
  • Consider packaging requirements for hot vs. cold items when planning deliveries
