Learn how to set delivery temperature options for menu items.
Menu items can be marked with delivery temperature options. This feature only applies to delivery orders.
Three options are available: heated only, chilled only, or either heated or chilled. When set to either, you can choose the temperature when adding the item to a quote.
Navigate to Menu Items and select an item to edit. In the item settings, locate the Delivery Temperature Options section.
Select one of the three options: heated only, chilled only, or both heated and chilled. Save the item. The temperature option is now configured.
When creating a delivery order, add items with temperature options. For items set to heated only or chilled only, the temperature is preset and cannot be changed in the quote.
For items set to both heated and chilled, a dropdown appears allowing you to select delivered heated or delivered chilled.
The selected temperature appears in brackets after the item name on the quote (e.g., "Sausage Rolls (Delivered Heated)").
The delivery temperature appears on chef dockets and driver dockets. This ensures kitchen and delivery teams know the temperature requirements for each item.
In most cases, you can leave this field blank. The temperature option is not displayed on quotes or dockets when not set.
Use this feature for items that can be served at different temperatures and where the temperature needs to be communicated to kitchen and delivery teams.
