Where to Find Your Tax Settings

Click the settings menu (the three lines in the top corner), then open the Account Details tab. Scroll down to the Tax Rate section.

Setting Your Tax Rate

Enter whatever percentage applies in your region. For example, in New Zealand it's 15% (GST), while in the UK it might be 20% (VAT). Whatever you call it, just type in the percentage and Puree handles the calculations.

Including or Excluding Tax on Your Prices

You can choose how tax is applied across all your prices:

• Tick the box to include tax in all your prices across the board — your prices are tax-inclusive.
• Untick the box to exclude tax from your prices across the board — tax is added on as an additional charge.

Once you've set your rate and chosen your option, press Save Changes.

How It Displays on Quotes

Tax inclusive — when tax is included in your prices, the quote shows the tax that's already contained in the total. On a basic lunchbox quote, for example, you'd see a note that there's $75 of GST (or VAT) included in the prices shown.

Tax exclusive — when tax is excluded, it isn't shown on the individual price lines. Instead it's added on at the bottom of the quote as an additional charge, labelled with your rate (e.g. GST 15%).
