Task Management

Stay on top of follow-ups with manual and automated tasks that keep your team organised.

How Tasks Work

Puree's task management helps you track important activities and follow-ups. You can create tasks manually for anything you need to remember, or let Puree automatically generate them based on your workflow — such as following up on pending quotes or placing orders with external suppliers.

All tasks appear in a centralised list accessible from the main menu. You can filter by status, sort by due date, and mark tasks as complete as you work through them.

Creating Manual Tasks

Go to Tasks from the main menu and click Add New Task. Enter a description, set a due date, and optionally assign it to a team member. Once saved, the task appears in your task list and can be ticked off when complete.

Automated Tasks

Puree can automatically create tasks for common workflows. Configure these in Settings → Task Management. Each automated task type can be enabled or disabled, and you can set how many days before the event (or after the quote is sent) the task should be created.

Follow Up on Pending Quotes

When a quote is sent but hasn't been accepted within a specified number of days, Puree creates a task reminding you to follow up with the customer. This helps improve conversion rates by ensuring no quote goes forgotten.

Event Rosters

Creates a task to prepare the event roster a set number of days before the event, ensuring your staffing is confirmed in advance.

External Supplier Orders

When a quote is accepted and contains external supplier items, Puree reminds you to place the order with the supplier. If the quote is later updated, a separate task reminds you to send the supplier an update. You can configure how many days before the event these reminders are created.

Deposit Reminders

Automatically creates a task to chase up deposit payments from customers who haven't yet paid.

Advance Payment Requests

Creates a task to request advance or final payment from the customer ahead of the event.

Managing Your Task List

The task list gives you a single view of everything that needs attention. You can:

  • Filter by pending or completed tasks
  • Sort by due date to prioritise urgent items
  • See which team member a task is assigned to
  • Click through to the related quote or order directly from the task
  • Mark tasks as complete when finished

Tips

  • Enable automated tasks for your most common workflows to save time and ensure nothing slips through
  • Review your task list daily to stay on top of follow-ups
  • Use the external supplier task reminders to batch updates rather than emailing suppliers after every small change
