Custom Domain & Website Hosting

Host your catering website and online order form on your own domain β€” fully managed by Puree.

Pricing

  • NZD $1,000 one-off setup fee β€” includes domain configuration and a custom homepage
  • NZD $250 minimum for any subsequent website changes β€” larger changes negotiated at the time

Contact us at email@puree.app to get started.

What's Included

With a custom domain, Puree hosts your entire catering website β€” not just the order form. The setup fee includes:

  • Your domain pointed to Puree (e.g. yourcateringco.com)
  • A custom homepage designed for your business
  • Your online order form integrated at your domain
  • SSL certificate (HTTPS) provisioned automatically

You can use either your root domain (e.g. yourcateringco.com) or a subdomain (e.g. orders.yourcateringco.com). If you already have an existing website at your root domain that you want to keep, a subdomain is the better choice.

Before You Start

You'll need access to your domain's DNS settings. This is usually managed through your domain registrar β€” common ones include GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, or Google Domains. If you're unsure who manages your DNS, check with whoever set up your website or domain.

Step 1 β€” Get in Touch

Email us at email@puree.app with your domain name and a brief description of what you'd like on your homepage. We'll confirm the setup fee and get things underway.

Step 2 β€” Point Your DNS to Puree

Log in to your DNS provider and navigate to your DNS settings (sometimes called DNS Management or Zone Editor). Add an A record with the following values:

Field What it may be called What to enter
Type Type A (or A/AAAA)
Name / Host Name, Host, Alias @ for root domain, or your subdomain prefix (e.g. orders)
IP Address IP Address, Value, Points to 170.64.150.105
TTL TTL 3600 or leave as default

Using your root domain? Enter @ in the Name/Host field β€” this represents the root domain itself. If your DNS provider doesn't accept @, leave the field blank or enter your domain name directly.

DNS changes can take time to propagate

Changes typically take effect within a few minutes to an hour, but can take up to 48 hours. You may see a "not secure" or "site not found" error until propagation is complete and we've finished setup on our end.

Step 3 β€” We Handle the Rest

Once your DNS is updated, let us know and we'll complete the setup β€” configuring your domain, provisioning your SSL certificate, and publishing your homepage. We'll email you once everything is live, typically within 1 business day.

Making Changes to Your Website

All website changes are handled by Puree. To request a change, email email@puree.app with a description of what you'd like updated.

Type of change Fee
Minor updates (text, photos, contact details) From NZD $250
Significant changes (new pages, layout redesign, new features) Negotiated at the time

Troubleshooting

The page isn't loading

Check that your A record is pointing to 170.64.150.105 and that you've notified us. DNS changes can take up to an hour to take effect.

I'm seeing a security / SSL warning

SSL is provisioned once setup is complete on our end. If you're still seeing the warning after we've confirmed everything is live, contact us.
