Terms & Conditions

Create and manage terms and conditions that are automatically included on your customer quotes.

Why Use Terms and Conditions?

Clear terms and conditions ensure both you and your customers have a mutual understanding of service expectations — covering payment terms, cancellation policies, service scope, and anything else relevant to your business. Puree lets you create reusable templates that are automatically included at the bottom of your customer quotes.

Creating Terms and Conditions

Go to Settings → Terms & Conditions and click Add New. Give your terms a clear title (e.g. "Standard Catering Terms" or "Venue Hire Terms") and enter the content. You can create multiple sets of terms if your business requires different agreements for different types of events or services.

Applying Terms to Quotes

When creating or editing a quote, you'll find an option to select which terms and conditions to include. Choose the appropriate template from your saved terms. The selected terms are displayed at the bottom of the customer's quote, so they can review them before accepting.

If you have a default set of terms, they can be automatically applied to new quotes so you don't have to select them each time.

Multiple Sets of Terms

If you offer different services — for example, event catering and venue management — you may need separate terms for each. Puree supports multiple templates, so you can select the right one depending on the type of quote you're creating.

Tips

  • Review and update your terms regularly to reflect any changes in your service or legal requirements
  • Keep the language clear and concise so customers can easily understand the policies
  • Consider having separate terms for different service types to avoid confusion

By accepting this quote, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Quote Validity
This quote is valid until the expiry date stipulated above. We reserve the right to modify or cancel any quote at any time.

Quote Confirmation
This quote does not guarantee availability. Availability is confirmed only upon your acceptance of this quote and receipt of any required deposit or commitment fee.

Deposit
A deposit may be required upon acceptance of this quote. This deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from your final invoice. We may waive this requirement at our discretion.

Payment
In most cases, you will be invoiced prior to your event. If we agree to invoice you afterwards, full payment is required within five working days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Final Guest Numbers & Menu
Final guest numbers and menu selections must be confirmed at least ten working days before your event. Changes after this date may incur a $100 administration fee. Reductions in guest numbers within this period will not reduce the quoted price.

Cancellations
Cancellation fees apply based on notice provided:

  • 10+ working days notice: no charge
  • 3–9 working days notice: 50% of total quote value
  • 2 working days notice: 75% of total quote value
  • 1 working day or less: 100% of total quote value

Any deposit paid is non-refundable.

Force Majeure
The cancellation policy does not apply where an event cannot legally proceed due to natural disasters, acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemic, or government health orders. In such cases, where notice is given within three working days, a charge of 33% of food costs may apply. The deposit remains non-refundable.

Cost Increases
We may amend this quote to reflect unforeseen increases in costs. If you do not accept the changes, you may cancel and receive a refund of any deposit paid.

Order Changes After Payment
If you change your order after paying, we will issue a revised invoice or arrange a refund at our discretion.

Allergens
We make every effort to accommodate dietary requirements when notified in advance. However, allergen ingredients are present in our kitchen and we cannot guarantee allergen-free preparation. Please advise us of any dietary requirements at the time of booking.

Beverage Service
Where beverage service is charged on a consumption basis, a minimum charge applies regardless of actual consumption. The minimum will be specified in your quote.

Post-Event Charges
Additional charges may apply after your event for equipment damage or loss, extra beverages consumed, or additional staffing costs.

Equipment Care
Equipment provided by us remains our property. You are responsible for any damage, breakage, or loss. If you are not present during equipment return, you may not dispute the condition or quantity recorded.

Equipment Bond
A bond may be required for equipment hire. If applicable, it will be included in this quote and refunded upon safe return of all items.

Late Payment
Overdue invoices may incur interest of 15% per month. Any debt collection costs will be added to your outstanding balance.

Disputes
In the event of a dispute, you agree to pay the invoice in full and raise any claims with us separately. You do not have the right to withhold payment pending resolution.

Photos
Product photos in our quotes are for illustrative purposes only and may not represent the exact final product.

Continuity
These terms remain binding under all circumstances, including changes in ownership or management of either party.
